Ohio State 73 Miami (Fl.) 68 (Final)

This will be a tough one, I expect. Hopefully the offense develops some flow between now and then.

Miami will give the Buckeyes a stern test. They play 2 in and 3 out. They start 2 seniors and 3 juniors. The guy on the inside to look out for is 6'9" Dwayne Collins who is averaging 13.6 points and 10 boards. The guy on the outside to look out for is a 6'1" junior Jack McClinton. He leads the team in scoring this season with 15.8 PPG. Their record so far this season 6-1 with their only loss being a 13 defeat at the hands of UConn in a tournament held in the Virgin Islands. They have not played a very tough schedule otherwise. They beat Southern Miss by 10 points in the same tournament but other than that have blown out the rest of their competition.

IF we do lose, I want to see us go down there and compete...We can very easily win this game...We will need to play a very good game to do so, and need to keep turnovers at a minimum...I think the offense will be ok, as we will probably not be playing against a zone, and will allow us to run some offense with a better flow...Would like to see Lighty step up with a big game as the leader of the team...

I hope we dont see foul trouble then we'll have to see BJ get pushed around, then maybe madsen!

i figured BJ probably wasn't up to it yet so i asked about Dallas. BJ looks uncomfortable on defense so far. that's my untrained opinion anyways after watching the first few games.

someone on the other osu/cryami thread mentioned that they had one dominant big man (only 6'9 though). it sounded like a great opportunity for dallas to continue his domination but this time it would be on a national stage.

The reason that Dallas is getting so many blocks in because of his timing, and incredible wingspan (7'4") I believe. Tough match up in that regard, because you think you have him beat and he blocks your shot. I also think this could be a good time for BJ to get his freak on, and look for some kick out passes when they double him!

i think he's legit as well, but its tough to say with who we've played. the next two games should be very telling.

I think Simmons is the key to the game for Ohio State

if he handles the point well and limits turnovers and can hit some key outside shots I think they come out on top

hopefully Lighty steps up his game and plays better than he has been as well

yes, limiting the turnovers will be very important. this team reminds me of last year. very promising, but with some obvious problems. we kept waiting around for them to get solved and never really did. hopefully this year proves different. this is a big week for the team.
