Ohio State at Iowa, Thursday, 7 PM, ESPNU

This team would be a serious contender if KBD comes back next year.
agreed. think the progress from kaleb will be massive. the lack of strength is keeping him from another 2 or 3 finishes per game. a little more bounce will go a long way, too. me likey muhammad, jackson, (insert player here), kbd, and kaleb for a starting lineup.

if kbd leaves, though, my expectations are probably going to be no greater than this season's.

Really nice win on the road and good effort in holding off the inevitable run that Iowa had in the 2nd half. Give Iowa credit for hitting some shots later on because I felt like we dominated that game. KBD was absolutely spectacular and man is he playing ball this year, he is worth watching alone. Tate had a damn good game and CJ Jackson playing like he is...huge! Wins on the road against Iowa have never come easy (or in the B1G in general), so I think this is a really nice win and we advance to 3-0 in the B1G. Great job basketball Bucks!

Looked at the schedule and realized they are next up on Sunday on the road. Let's be real, this team is not going to be on their level but I do hope we go out and compete. I am starting to believe this is a fringe top-25 team and looking good to make it to the tourney is they keep improving like this.

Solid win. I know Iowa sucks this year, but the B1G will still be a 4 or 5 bid league. It's starting to look like we may sneak back into the tournament ahead of schedule, which will hopefully really build some recruiting momentum for the program. Just getting in, even if it's on the back of a crappy conference, will be more than I could have hoped for in year one.

Before the season, I felt that 20 wins, a winning B1G record, and any postseason appearance would be an accomplishment. We now sit at 12-4 (3-0), so that looks almost like a certainty provided we don't see any significant injury setbacks. The growth we've seen in some of these guys (KBD, who is playing like an All-American candidate, in particular) has been a very pleasant surprise. I still expect some bumps in the road, but all-in-all, I'd say we've outperformed expectations. All four losses are against very good teams, so we've avoided the bad early season losses we've become accustomed to over the last few years.

The next two games could be rough (home vs. MSU and Maryland), and if we somehow manage to split those, we will be in very, very good shape because the next seven are all games we should win...@ Rutgers, @ Nerds, Minny, Corn, Pedtards, IU and Illinois. Lets say we go 6-3 or 7-2, that puts us at 18-7 (9-3) or 19-6 (10-2) before closing @Purdue, Iowa, @ Pedtards, @scUM, Rutgers and @ IU. I'd say we are looking very good for an NCAA invite.

The only issue is that unless we beat MSU or Purdue we won't have any wins over a ranked opponent

They avoided that awful OOC loss this year.....which helps even with lack of a "marquee" win

Rutgers is the worst possible loss remaining.....they sit at 127 in kenpoms rankings right now. Avoid losing any of the 2 games against them and they will be in decent shape if they finish accordingly.
