Game Thread Ohio State at Penn State, 10/22/16, 8:00pm ET ABC/WatchESPN

Why is this an 8:00 game? I mean maybe a 3:30 game, but an 8:00 game. Little things like this make those loonies on BWI think their program is somehow relevant. I pay good money to keep them in their place dangnabit....
Meh I look at it that people want to see ohio state and you could put osu at night vs a pee week team and itll be the highest rated show that night

DEPTH CHART: OHIO STATE DEPTH CHART AHEAD OF PENN STATE UNCHANGED FROM WISCONSIN VICTORY

75522_h_1.jpg,qitok=ccAg_Z6p.pagespeed.ce.Dt1EDVam0S.jpg

Notes:
  • Redshirt sophomore Kyle Trout and redshirt junior Evan Lisle remain as co-backups at right guard in place of Demetrius Knox, who is out with a broken foot.
  • Joe Burger remains in place of Justin Hilliard at backup WILL linebacker, who is out for the season with a torn biceps. Ohio State still lists Jerome Baker and Dante Booker as a co-starters at that position. Booker missed Ohio State's wins against Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rutgers and Indiana with a sprained MCL.
  • Despite a 91-yard kickoff return against Indiana, Parris Campbell is not listed at the kickoff return position.
  • Baker remains Chris Worley's backup at SAM linebacker.
  • Sam Hubbard and Jalyn Holmes remain co-starters at defensive end opposite of Tyquan Lewis.
  • Marshon Lattimore remains a co-starter at one cornerback spot with Denzel Ward despite being second on the team with three interceptions.
  • Ohio State still lists nine starting positions with an "OR."

I'm thinking it was pretty much a TV initiated thing. The B1G gets "big bucks" from the TY contracts; if the network requested that a specific game be played in "prime time" it's like "they made you an offer that you can't refuse".

THE CONSPIRACY

You've probably heard the Big Ten openly screws Penn State whenever it plays the Buckeyes, but you're cool with that because woooooooooo go Buckeyes.

The last time the teams met in State College Vonn Bell trapped an interception that should have been ruled incomplete despite him appearing to maintain control. The Buckeyes were also given a couple extra seconds after the play clock expired to kick a field goal, which you might have also thought was okay if you subscribe to the idea that time is a flat circle. Two lousy calls.

They were part of an elaborate, larger plan by Illuminati refs to elevate Ohio State to a victory via questionable early game officiating (still can't figure out how the back judge managed to hold Penn State to 16 yards rushing that evening or miss little things like eye-gouging a quarterback but some mysteries are better left unsolved).

But let's get to the here and now, 14 years later. The two teams meet again Saturday night, and currently Ohio State is dead last in the Big Ten in opponent penalties. Guess which conference team is benefiting the most from officiating in 2016:
