Ohio State continues to sit incredibly well for many of the nation's best. With recruiting season entering the summer months, Urban Meyer could see his 2017 class get even better.

The recruiting trails are full of Buckeye coaches right now. Ohio State has hit the road to continue it's pursuit for the top prospects in the country. With thirteen currently already aboard for the 2017 class and more certainly to come, the future is about as bright as it can be for the Ohio State football program.

2018 DE earns OSU offer

2017 may be the current class of most importance for Ohio State, but that certainly hasn't stopped Urban Meyer and his coaching staff from getting a head start to the 2018 class. Yesterday, via his twitter, Max Wright (Katy, Texas / Taylor) let it be known that he was the latest prospect to earn an Ohio State offer. Wright is a 2018 strong-side defensive end and is widely considered a to be one of the top in the class at his position.

Standing at 6'4", 235 pounds, Wright already possesses the size to pose a real threat to any quarterback in his way. With two full seasons still to be played in his prep career, he boasts an impressive offer list of eleven schools. Some of the programs to offer Wright include Baylor, Duke, Georgia, TCU, Oklahoma, Texas and most recently Ohio State. As of right now, all signs point toward Wright staying home and playing his collegiate ball at the University of Texas, but there's a long way to go before national signing day 2018.

Martell's latest rumblings

Let's cut to the chase, we know late Wednesday night the nation's top dual-threat quarterback, Tate Martell (Las Vegas, Nev. / Bishop Gorman) de-committed from Texas A&M. The signal caller has not been a stranger to Ohio State recruiting news and things look to stay that way. Yesterday, after the mass news of Martell's decision, the experts began to throw in their picks for the 247sports crystal ball.

Just within hours of Tate being back on the market, seven national recruiting analysts pegged Martell to the Buckeyes as his final college destination via crystal ball predictions. Things are certainly trending towards Ohio State for Tate, but schools such as Cal, USC, and even Oregon look to be the biggest threats to him dawning the scarlet and gray in the future. On his last visit to Ohio State back in March, Tate did admit that Ohio State was the biggest threat to the Aggies.

With that scenario now worked out, Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes will wait to see Tate's final word.

Wade back in Columbus again

You would think 4-star cornerback, Lamont Wade (Clairton, Penn. / Cliarton) had a second home in Columbus, Ohio with how often he's in town. Urban Meyer and staff are certainly in the works of making that happening, but the Clairton, Penn. native will be back to Ohio State yet again this weekend. Already knowing what Ohio State has to offer, Wade and the Buckeyes already hold a strong relationship. The only hinderance being with Wade wanting to enroll early and Ohio State with so many youngsters on the current roster may not have room. However, that is a situation that looks to be working out as of right now.

This weekend, Nike's The Opening will be holding a regional camp right in town. In attendance for this regional will be the aforementioned Wade. The seventh best cornerback in the 2017 class will once again showcase his premier talent and prove why he is one of the nation's best. If the early enrollment scenario between Wade and Ohio State does indeed work itself out, it could be only a matter of time before Wade announces that he's a Buckeye.
