JFC, were those refs bad.

That aside, and while I knew OSU couldn't shut down UC the whole game, geez, OSU couldn't get a stop down the stretch. UC had 34 points with 7:52 to play, and then proceeded to score 24 in less than 7 minutes. Need to shore that up.

That said, great, great win on the road...and even better when it's against a clown college like UC.

Go Bucks.

Great perseverance and win for the Buckeyes. We win that game by 30 easy with level refs. And it sure seemed like Kyle Young had about 20 boards - heck of a game for that kid.

An aside about Jeff Cumberland and our inability to guard him at the end. Cumberland does not move his feet when he shoots the ball, so you cannot tell that he is going to shoot rather than pass or dribble in advance. He is tall, shoots the ball high above his head, and is awkward with his shooting stance, in a good way. He is a very difficult matchup for any team in the country, as he proved in last year's NCAA tournament. UC had two players make it to the league from last year, but it was Cumberland who carried UC in their conference tournament and NCAA tournament.

Fouls were mounting. UC was going to score late no matter what OSU did on defense - play tough, get called for fouls, give up FTs and foul out. Play soft, give up baskets but stay in game. You basically have to be up by 10 with 4 to play to win a road game like this.
