The latest on Ohio State target Drew White, from the Sunshine State.

Florida LB likes Buckeyes

As things currently stand, Ohio State holds a pledge from just one linebacker thus far in the 2017 recruiting class -- '17 LB Antjuan Simmons, a three-star prospect from the state of Michigan. With that being said, don't forget about '17 LB Drew White as a possible option to join him in the Buckeyes' class.

White currently holds offers from schools like Arkansas, Cincinnati, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and a handful of other power five programs. He also is receiving interest from rivals Notre Dame and Stanford, who could offer at any time now.

White, much like Simmons, is a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings and hails from St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) -- a program that OSU has had success at on the recruiting trail. In a video with Scout.com's Corey Bender on Wednesday, White mentioned the Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State as programs that stick out to him "a lot."

The next step for the Buckeyes in this recruitment will be getting the 6'0, 225-pounder on campus for a visit. In the interview with Bender, the Fort Lauderdale native did mention that he is planning on making a lot of visits this summer and some in the spring but does not have any visits set in stone at this time.

Wesson shines in regional semifinal

On Wednesday, Ohio State commit Kaleb Wesson and his Westerville South Wildcats squared off against the Pickerington Central Tigers and Michigan commit Ibi Watson in the Division One Regional Semifinal at Ohio Dominican University.

Despite incredible efforts from Jalen Tate and the aforementioned Wolverines pledge Ibi Watson, it was the future Buckeye who came out on top in this one. Wesson tallied 18 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks according to 270Hoops' Zach Fleer. With the win, Wesson and Westerville South will see Gahanna (OH) or Upper Arlington (OH) and another future Buckeye in '18 SG Dane Goodwin in hopes of advancing to the final four.
