Ohio State's recruiting efforts continue to pay off.

Four-star OG has Ohio State in his top 5 schools

Ohio State's top rated recruiting class already holds commitments from OT's Josh Myers and Jake Moretti. Now, it seems Urban Meyer and the rest of the recruiting staff may have a chance to bolster the offensive line even more. Darnell Ewell (Norfolk, Va) spoke with Scout.com over the weekend and said that Ohio State was one of the five schools that stand out to him.

Ewell is a four-star talent and is seen as one of the top 150 recruits in the 2017 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The 6-foot-3, 298-pound guard has long been an Ohio State lean, with the first five crystal ball predictions on 247Sports favoring the Buckeyes. However, it seems that if Meyer and the Buckeyes are keen on earning Ewell's talents, they will need to get him back on campus, as the most recent prediction has Ewell's decision as "foggy."

Along with Ohio State, the other schools listed in his top five were Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Notre Dame, meaning Meyer has his work cut out for him. Despite the stiff competition, the Buckeyes should still have a lead in his recruitment but if they want to make sure the coaching staff needs to act quickly. Ewell also mentioned to Scout.com that he would like to make a decision before the start of his senior season.

Ohio State interested in a 3-star TE

Alexander Marshall (Andover, MA) holds offers from many of the country's top college football programs, including schools such as Alabama, Florida and Florida State as well as Big Ten schools such as Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Maryland. However, there is one noticeable name missing from his list, Ohio State.

It seems that may change soon as 247Sports reports that Ohio State's Director of Player Personnel, Ed Warriner, is scheduled to make a trip to Massachusetts next week to visit with the 6-foot-7, 240-pound TE.

Marshall also recently released his top 5 schools on Twitter. Understandably, the Buckeyes didn't make the cut, but things could change if the Buckeyes decide to offer him a scholarship.

Despite only having three stars, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, Marshall holds an impressive list of schools interested in acquiring his talents. On top of this, Warriner is going to make a trip solely to see the TE play, which should be enough to convince anyone.

Alabama offers Ohio State 5-star DB target

Lamont Wade (Clairton, PA) has long been a priority for the Buckeyes' 2017 recruiting class. The five-star DB has been an Ohio State lean for some time now, but another heavy-hitter just entered the contest for his services.

The No. 5 rated DB announced yesterday over Twitter that Alabama had offered him a scholarship. The Tide now become the 22nd school to give Wade an offer and one has to assume the school immediately moves towards the top of his list.

Wade has an unofficial visit to Columbus scheduled for May 6, according to 247Sports, which should give Meyer a chance to help reaffirm Wade's interest in the Buckeyes. It is likely that Wade will wait until National Signing Day to make a decision, leaving plenty of time for all of his suitors to continue recruiting him. His recruitment will definitely be one for Buckeye Nation to keep up with, make sure to keep up with Land-Grant Holy Land as we continue to follow his recruitment.
