Game Thread Ohio State @ Indiana, 08/31/17 @ 8:00 ET (ESPN)

History will repeat itself

My post from the bowl game thread ...

The last time the Buckeyes lost to Clemson in a bowl game they won the NC the following year. Just sayin'.

A+B=C ... simple math. And JT is prone to injury just like Braxton.

Who is/are going to be Ohio State's second and third string qb's next/this year?

Behind every cloud is a silver lining or as Judy Garland rephrased behind every cloud is another cloud!

Behind every cloud is another cloud...of dust. Which brings me to my next point to go along with your's. That championship season was accomplished with a sophomore running back. What is Mike Weber this year?

Also, there was no Tim Beck on the staff that year. Is Tim Beck on the staff this year?

Just looked at the IU depth chart [Mark May] they return everyone on defense haha... Should be a good opening gauge thats for sure.
We scored 38 on them, and IIRC we had a TD or two called back or just missed...it could've easily been 45-17 or 52-17. And that was with our "previous" OCs...no concerns.

Blanky - Indiana.jpg

A little stress relief for UrbanBuckeye :-) Get that Blanky magic going!

How did I not see this before now?! Although...I'm not sure how much "magic" that blanket holds anymore....

After the ass whipping (perhaps that picture should've been composed differently for Clemson), I don't know how to get the stink off & return the blanket to its pristine state. Just some ideas off the top of my head...

-Apparently this church does both Exorcisms and "Vehicle Blessings." Perhaps one or both? http://www.tampaorthodox.org/

-Perform some type of ritual involving yarn (maize & blue, naturally), the blood of a tiger & that fat kicker from PSU....burn them all while chanting "Basic Defense"

-If worse comes to worse, I could always take it on the Harry Potter ride at Universal

I'm not ready to give up on this thing yet.

BTW I'm loving the fact Urban is cleaning house.

Rewatched the game last night. JT overthrew Clark on a deep crossing route where Clark had his man beat by three yards...JT hits him in stride and it's a TD. Hooker's pick six called back because of an "illegal block" by Arnette (Arnette hit the guy on the lower hip and rolled through the legs, wrong call at worst, ticky-tack at best). So it could've/should've been 52 points. That said, two TDs came on very short fields (IU turnover, 91-yard KO return by Parris Campbell), and the offense looked "good" on only a couple drives.

I also paid attention to what Wilson called. He did try to run a QB option to the short end of the field when they had 1st and goal from our 5, and lost a couple yards...unlike our OCs, he never called that play again. They ran a surprise slip-screen and 3rd and long from around midfield which went for about 30 yards, and later faked that same slip-screen for a TD pass to a wide-open TE after Hooker got sucked in and the TE ran right passed him...I think Brock Huard called it "layered play calling" (never heard that term), one play setting up another later in the game.
