Game Thread Ohio State @ Indiana - 09/14/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

Respectfully disagree. Penix can do a lot more than what Ramsey can do. Both of our OTs are NFL prospects. But Chase Young is a beast. Our defense, IMO, is a lot better. Much faster. Much bigger. Much deeper. We can rotate a lot of guys.

Kevin Wilson is an excellent OC. No doubt. Our OC Kalen Deboer is a very good one. A huge upgrade over Mike “dink and dunk” Debord.

I do think OSU wins Saturday. We just aren’t on your level. But 1 of the other “Big 4” will probably drop a game to Indiana this year. Maybe Michigan.

After watching the big ten network bus tour, I came away really impressed with your team. Lots of talent and this years team is probably the most talented you guys have had in a long time. Don't know if you have enough depth to stay with us. I look for it to be close into the 3rd quarter then we pull away. But you never know a few turnovers and things could get interesting

I do disagree on your defense though... The top end players just aren't there like you guys had 2-3 years ago.

We will see though but I'm thinking 42-13...

You guys barely beat us in 2015.

Did that stop you guys from having a great season?

Ball State lost to Notre Dame by 7 last season. Just because we didn’t slaughter them, doesn’t mean we don’t have a good team. IU has been real Vanilla with all of their schemes as to not show OSU a whole lot. This fact has been known. This game is our Super Bowl. It’s being billed that way.

But even you acknowledge that your team is going to lose. The only question is by how much?

You guys had better offensive talent than this season and our 2015 team was a mess that season. Totally different year though and in my opinion a better OSU team.

As for Ball State... you guys still struggled with them. Your defense gave up 300 yards passing to them. Also your back only going for 50 yds on 20 carries ain't good man.

It may be your super bowl but we will still have 50% of the fans there and IMO we won't be thrilled about being dropped in the rankings either.

I won't lie I root for your guys against other opponents though like crazy... especially penn state

I don’t know what 2015 has to do with anything. I do know you’re making some bold claims that I happen to disagree with. Forgive me if I don’t think IU can shut down one of the best defensive players in the league or that this one will be close based on playing “vanilla” while barely escaping Ball State.

Feel free to go back and watch the Ohio State vs Notre Dame game, if you wish. That one was a slaughter.

Boy they talk a lot of shit for being a less than 500 ball club every year.

Their DC talking about how they feel there's things they can take advantage of and their goal is to hit Justin a lot.

Hope we bury them.

IU will be the best team OSU has played to date. It is a B1G opponent and it is on the road. OSU cannot rest on what they did to UC or this thing will be much closer than it needs to be.

That said, the idea that IU was intentionally holding back on the play calling while only up 6 on Ball State headed into the 4th quarter of their game is, I believe, false.

In your opinion how much better are they than UC?

IMO, that'd be a great game between those two.

I think IU has the better WRs which probably allows IUs QB to perform better too. Give me Warren over IUs kid though. Upfront they're about the same on both sides of the ball. Back 7 on defense is roughly the same but I think UC is a little more athletic.

I know you (FK) think Indiana is more athletic than past defenses but I'm not sold on that at all. The defense you had with your two outstanding LBs, great corner, and that DT was your best defense. Wasn't that a top 25 group?

Meh, it's a trend among the elite in the B1G. You saw a team last weekend do the same against Army, no?

Scoring points early and then getting reps for the 2-3 lines is passe my friend.

I can't say for sure because I haven't seen much of either one but in general I feel like any lower level P5 team is going to have better athletes across the board than UC will. IU has a better player at QB than UC and on defense that Ball kid is better than anyone UC has.

I think style differences matter as well. UC is an AAC version of Tresselball or MSU. They are in trouble playing that way when the other team has a clear athletic advantage (see last week).

IU will play a style that gives them more of a chance to actually win (I think). Dual threat QB with some B1G caliber athletes around him who aren't going to line up and try to Dave a better team to death.

End of the day, IU is at a disadvantage along both LOS at the very least and that usually spells doom. Turnovers and penalties are the only way the better team ever struggles with the lesser team and that’s what I think it will come down to a lot this year.
