One Buckeye leaves the program while another won't enroll.

Saturday morning marked a big transaction day for Ohio State football.

According to an Ohio State spokesperson, one current Buckeye and one future one won't be with the Buckeyes when they break camp this fall.

Grant Schmidt, a South Dakota product who'd been evaluated as a sizable project type, is leaving the OSU football team. The specific circumstances surrounding his departure aren't immediately known. Schmidt was redshirted last season and wasn't expected to be a prominent member of the depth chart this fall.

Three-star Baltimore, MD defensive back prospect Kareem Felder, expected to join the Ohio State football program this summer, will not be joining the team as planned. His reasons for not enrolling, be it qualifying, medical, or otherwise, were also not immediately made available.

The moves should solidify Ohio State's standing at the NCAA mandated cap of 85 scholarships heading into the 2016 football season.
