The Buckeyes reel in another piece to their 2016 hoops recruiting class.

Wesson staying home

The big news on Wednesday was when the Buckeyes received a commitment and signature from 2016 small forward Andre Wesson (Westerville, Ohio / Westerville South), a three-star prospect, despite only sending him an offer just a few weeks ago.

Andre, the brother of 2017 commit Kaleb Wesson, chose the Scarlet and Gray over offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Butler, George Mason, Illinois State, Northern Kentucky, Richmond, Tennessee-Martin, Toledo, and Xavier.

The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder currently grades out as the nation's 299th overall prospect in the class. Wesson also stands as the 58th best small forward, and the 17th best player in the state of Ohio, according to 247Sports.

Wesson joins Derek Funderburk (Lakewood, Ohio / St. Edward), Micah Potter (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) and JUCO guard C.J. Jackson, who also committed to Ohio State this week, as members of the 2016 recruiting class. According to Bill Landis of Cleveland.com, Jackson is scheduled to visit the Buckeyes' campus for the first time on Friday.

OSU sends LeDee an offer

According to multiple reports, Ohio State dropped an offer to 2018 SF Jaedon LeDee (Houston, Texas / The Kinkaid School) on Tuesday. The latest Buckeye offeree is 6-foot-7, 195-pounds, and is one of the top prospects in the 2018 class.

LeDee currently grades out as a five-star prospect and is pegged as the 12th overall player in the country, according to 247Sports. Additionally, LeDee is graded as the third best at his position, and the second best player from the Lone Star State.

Ohio State joined a host of programs on the offer sheet for the Houston native including the likes of Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Texas, Texas A&M and UCLA. LaDee is currently favored to play his collegiate ball in Lexington, Ky. as a Wildcat.
