Almost shit the bed against Bowling Green, but we pulled out the sweep. I'm happy to see us letting them get a home-and-home series. Fredo did BG raw during realignment, and I wonder if that's why we haven't let Fredo sniff a game in Columbus since.

Oh, the Fredo ego. They tasted a little bit of success with a hot young coach, and thought they were the next Minnesota. Called themselves "hockey's newest dynasty" despite having actually won next to nothing. Now, they're in a conference that is actually full of real hockey powers, and they're getting passed around every year like a Turkish runaway in a German porno.

College Hockey's Newest Dynasty (1-8) got skull-fucked 5 to 1 at home by 2-6-1 Colorado College. While I support the AD's decision not to give them and their fans a series with Ohio State, I have to admit that I wouldn't mind racking up a few wins on this clown program and taking back the all-time series lead (which they didn't grab until 2011 in the middle of their ten year run of being relevant).

Here's how the stretch run of the schedule is looking.

We're done playing the domers and have one series each with the Gopher (home) and tsun (away)

Among the top 4
Minny has to play tsun, @ND, @Ohio State
tsun has to play @Minny, Ohio State and @ND
Domers have to play Minny and tsun.

The top 4 all have one bye weekend left. Unfortunately, ours is the last weekend of the season, so if we're going to win the regular season title, we'll probably need to go into that weekend with a decent point lead.

Domers have the easiest remaining schedule, and they're getting their bye out of the way this weekend. OTOH, they're 5 points off the conference lead in 4th place. Other than that last week bye, I think things are shaping up pretty well to have a shot at the title. Buckeyes just can't leave many points on the ice against the bottom 3 to have that shot going into the last weekend. This weekend at the bottom dwelling pedsters will be pretty defining. Championship quality teams come out and ruin people's weekends in a situation like this.
