Ohio State Men's Lacrosse (2013 ECAC Champions)

This is probably a wasted season at this point. Defense is a disaster and there is no real path to get back into the mix considering how short the season is.

Play the kids and look to build towards 2022.

It’s kind of unreal with the talent they have back to have the defense in such a hot mess. I’ve not watched the state pen game yet, but will watch for what you’re suggesting. Candidly, getting lit up for 20+ by Rut suggests you’re right.

For the last couple of years I’ve been wondering if Nick is the right guy for the job. Considering the loss to tsun (two years ago?) I thought that the team looked lost... like as in, he doesn’t have the locker room behind him. Haven’t felt great about them since the end of ‘19 as a result.

But this result thus far is nothing but a disappointment.

While it was likely lost in the fact that the roundballers played in the B1G championship game yesterday... there was a taking down of the skunkbears in the Shoe on Sunday. While not exactly a resounding win, and much closer statistically than I would have hoped, the Bucks did win 13-10.

I’ve not watched the game yet.

Bucks started well at #1 undefeated Maryland, led 2-1 and were tied at 2 after one quarter.

Second quarter is not going so well, now down 8-3 on the B1G Network.

Maryland's goalkeeper scores from 60 yards away to make it 9-3 early in the third. The Terps were down 2 men at the time. :bonk:

After a completely disappointing year, and one where the administration should be considering shaking up things, B1G LAX looks good right now with UMD in the finals. Gonna say it, they win going away. I don’t see how UVA keeps up.

Maryland's undefeated season comes up short, dropping the final to Virginia 17-16. Terps had a shot to tie with 3 seconds left but the keeper made the save.

Great game.

Great game.

It was a hell of a game. Good runs by both teams. For the life of me, I don’t know how UVA put it together down the run. I’m a big fan of Lars, so nothing against him... maybe this just makes me a bigger fan of his coaching... but this team was lost defensively for a good part of the season. They were bailed out by their scoring. Today, and frankly, for the entire NCAAs, they played complete lacrosse.

Sadly, UMD starts another run of what if’s and could’ves.
