Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

But this is what I learned. One of the tennis pros here used to coach one of the players when he was younger (he said he taught their whole family, so I think it's Kobelt? said he got waxed).
This is untrue. Peter and Alex along with their sister Maddie (who played tennis at Syracuse) all were tutored by their father Paul. Paul ran a tennis camp in France when Peter and Maddie were still young before moving to the United states. Paul worked for the best-known tennis instructor in the country.. Both in France and in the United States.

OK then it must have been one of the other players, just know it was one that lost

Tomorrow begins the singles.doubles portion of the tournament.

Thanks for the updates onsite bn24.
Maybe you can point to a source for the individual tournament info and updates. It’s tough finding any live stats or streaming vids.
Had hoped McNallys opponent from Texas might have been fatigued from his 3 setter in the finals yesterday.
Wolf has got to be motivated to earn that spot in the us open.
It goes to the winner of the ncaa tournament if he is a us citizen.
I heard rumors that several of the international players who were top seeds withdrew.
I also will be interested in how far Seelig might advance.
Seelig will get better as the tournament goes deeper and fatigue is a factor for the elite.

This should work

I know some Wake Forest players pulled out. Don't know if because salty from losing, or just didn't feel like playing.

Lots of matches going long (means long night for me), JJ finally playing. Traded early breaks

Update: JJ serving at 4-5. He is not playing well at all. Many unforced errors

Just got broke to lose the set

Update 2: I'm tired

and JJ won 2nd set 6-1, up early break 2-1 in 3rd

Wolf tightening up a little bit, was able to hold at the deciding point to go up 5-3

Had match point at Deuce, but ball hits net tape on a down the line shot. Serving for match at 5-4

Got broke, 5-5. Guy he's playing isn't doing anything spectacular. All unforced errors

and breaks right back, serving again for match at 6-5

Game, Set, and Match!

Gator Sam Riffice played his heart out today to beat JJ. Sam went down 3-4 in the first set, dropped the next serve which allowed JJ to quickly take the first set, 6-3. But in the second set, Sam rolled out a 4-2 lead and wound up taking the set 6-3. In the third, Sam went up a break at 3-2, broke again at 5-2, and was able to serve out the upset against JJ. I think that is only his second loss of the season.

Great season for Mr. Wolf.
