Two young buckeyes played well at the usta junior nationals. The kalamazoo event hosted the best international juniors. An incoming OSU freshman John McNally was 6th seed and advanced to the quarters. Sophomore J.J. Wolf was 5th seed, defeated the top seed and faced the 2 seed in the finals. Wolf dropped a grueling 5 set final after leading 2 sets to 1.
In spite of the loss, Wolf earned a wild card into the qualifying draw of theUS Open.
Buckeye tennis fans can anticipate a reloading year, but the foundation is strong at the top of the order with Torp, Wolf, McNally, Seelig and Joyce.

The OSU Official Men's Tennis site has released their schedule for 2017-18.
I love the notes and commentary about each match but especially this insight.

"Michigan – March 25, Columbus, Ohio
• Similar to the success against the Spartans, OSU has won a remarkable 24-straight matches against their rivals from up north."

Big week for tennis in Columbus as the ATP Challenger tour is hosted at the OSU facility.
A $75k pot is at stake for the touring pros and some of the OSU team.
Of note OSU Freshman John McNally took the first set from Kevin King who is fresh off a title in the Cary Challenger last week.
live stream from the Varsity indoor tennis center is linked here.
