The squad, led by French sensation Nicolas Szerszen, are one win away from capturing their first title since 2011.

"Ohio State will play another day... It will be BYU and Ohio State, winner-take-all on Saturday night"

Ohio State student radio broadcast of the UCLA-OSU NCAA Volleyball Semifinal

Last night, No.3 Ohio State upset No.2 UCLA for a spot in the NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship. In an instant classic, the Buckeyes' rallied in the fifth set after facing multiple game-points against them. On the game's final point, National Volleyball Coaches Assoc. Player of the Year Nicolas Szerszen rocketed a service ace pass the Bruins, as the Buckeyes won the fifth set 18-16 – and punched their ticket to the championship on Saturday night.

The win is a "revenge-win" for Ohio State, as one of their three losses on the season happened to UCLA. The irony is that UCLA beat Ohio State at the same place as their Thursday evening contest (Rec Hall in University Park, Penn.) back in early January.

Since that loss, the Buckeyes went 29-1, and haven't loss a match since Feb. 6.

You can listen to me call the match here.

Now, the Scarlet and Gray are just one win away from capturing their first national championship since 2011. Ohio State will play No.1 BYU at 8 p.m. Saturday night. You can catch the contest on ESPN2.

"Will Smith’s widow accepted the former Saints defensive end’s graduate degree on his behalf,"

Its been close to a month since the devastating murder of former Buckeye standout defenseman Will Smith. For the first time since the heinous murder, Smith's widow, Racquel Smith, made one of her first public appearances.

She accepted Will's graduate degree from the University of Miami (FL) Thursday night.

The suspected murderer of Smith currently being charged second-degree murder, and attempted second-degree murder of Racquel Smith.

"Commencement at The Ohio State University is a festive and joyous occasion at which family and guests are welcome to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class,"

The Ohio State University

After four – and for some, even five, six or seven – years of higher education, the time has come to walk across the stage for (probably) the most expensive piece of paper you'll ever receive.

Graduation for the Ohio State class of 2016 will take place at noon Sunday inside The Shoe.

This senior class of students have witnessed national championships, construction that never seemed to end, Netflix marathons and all nighters.

Outgoing Block "O" president Isaac Oyer summed up what every senior wants to believe when the grade books go final:

I PASSED ALL MY CLASSES!!!!!!!

Now it's off to the next chapter in life. As communication professor (and 2013-2014 College of the Arts and Science Teacher of the Year) Lanier Holt said, "your story hasn't been written yet."

Whether their dream is to become an author on the New York Times bestsellers list, an engineer or a broadcaster, one thing is certain: you're now a Buckeye.

Congrats to the class of 2016 – and welcome to the Buckeye family. (ed. note -- Congrats to Geoff, who walks this weekend as well!)
