Damar Hamlin decides to stay at home and play for Pitt, but Jordan Fuller becomes the 23rd commit of the Buckeyes' 2016 class.

While the Buckeyes already had four defensive backs in the 2016 recruiting class heading into Monday, the coaching staff was looking to add at least one more. Ohio State had a chance to grab two more as four-star DB's Jordan Fuller and Damar Hamlin announced their commitments last night.

Damar Hamlin had been a strong lean towards his hometown school of Pitt, but was also highly considering Ohio State and Penn State. Announcing live on Pittsburgh local news, Hamlin made the decision to continue his academic and football career at Pitt.

The news wasn't surprising, but the Buckeyes did miss out on a talented young man. Hamlin is the 14th-best DB in his class and ranks No. 148 overall.

Buckeye Nation didn't have too much time to mourn the loss of Hamlin before they received the news that Jordan Fuller announced his decision to become the 23rd recruit of the Buckeyes' 2016 recruiting class. Fuller comes in ranked as the No. 6 ATH of the 2016 class, but has been mainly recruited as a DB for the Buckeyes.

Shoutout to my family, coaches, and community for all the support❗️ I'm truly blessed Here's my commitment❗https://t.co/C5VnxPx3El

The Buckeyes were the projected favorite to land Fuller, who was also considering Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State. He lined up on both sides of the ball in high school, playing some QB, but will hope to be a defensive standout for the next three to four years. Having the mindset of a QB should give him a distinctive advantage over some of the other DB's in this class and he has the speed and athleticism to keep up with opposing team's WR's.

Recent Buckeye four-star WR commit Binjimen Victor looks to be excited about the addition of Fuller. The two will be playing together in the U.S Army All American Bowl.

Let's win this natty bro!! ⭕https://t.co/Q4xD7M73tL

Burns still considering Louisville

Three-star DB commit Rodjay Burns decided to flip from Louisville to the Buckeyes less than two weeks ago. But with National Signing Day tomorrow, it seems he is still considering the Cardinals.

Burns told the Courier-Journal that he is still being heavily recruited by Louisville's coaches and with 24 hours until he has to make a final decision, he is still "thinking things over," and that the decision weighs on him every day.

Burns had been committed to Louisville since March of 2015, but Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes made a strong push for him at the end of the year. With multiple in-home visits in the last 30 days from Buckeye coaches, and an official visit to Columbus, the hard work paid off and Burns announced his commitment to Ohio State.

If Burns were to decide to recommit to the Cardinals, it would leave Ohio State at four DB's for the 2016 class in Wayne Davis, Kareem Felder, Jahsen Wint, and recent commit Jordan Fuller. The Buckeyes also have a chance to gain another four-star DB in this class in Carlos Becker. Becker announced over the weekend via his Instagram account that he has a final two of Ohio State and Florida State, with the Seminoles being the favorite to land him.
