Game Thread Ohio State @ Penn State - 09/29/18, 7:30PM (ABC)

I did my first rewatch today. We completely shut them down on both sides of the ball in the 3rd Q. We really weren't as bad as it felt Saturday night. They had some chunk plays here and there.....but most of their positive plays were aided by our own stupidity (or a terrible PI call). Watching it without the dread of what shit you're going to have to go through on Monday if we lose really changes some things. Even McDouchefuck was bottled up for a lot of this game, despite what his final stats were.

I think something like 80% of their offense came on 10 plays

You can see a big talent edge for OSU in some key areas

Next year they come to Columbus without McSlappy. Should be more fun, less stress.

Pretty much what I was thinking when Franklin said “... 1 point last year, 1 point this year. That’s not happening anymore.”

I see that being part of a 2-picture-meme, with the second picture showing next year’s scoreboard with the caption “Fact Check: True”

I fucking hope so. It's not any fun to watch this game unless we 2013 them. Otherwise I spend the whole game wondering which one of the assholes I work with but almost never talk to is going to text me first. Have I texted them or said anything to them over the last two years? Of course not....but you could win a lot of money betting on whether or not I got a bunch of shit 3 games ago.

One area I think PSU may have closed the gap is the trenches. Felt like they held up much better this year than they did last year or 2016.

Their OL didn't. The OSU front four completely shut down the PSU RB, which was their job.

Opposite is true of the PSU DL because they had to load the box and send LB's all night long.

Biggest area I see Penn State catching up is at the skill positions. They are young but you saw OSU level talent at RB, slot receiver and TE.

EDIT

Watch the first offensive series for PSU and focus on #53, Hamilton, for OSU.

He does whatever he wants to with the PSU center
