I agree that a loss means vey little, but the way they play means a lot to me. Will there still be some positive momentum to carry into the NW game, beat a team they should handle (even w/o Kaleb) and steal one at home again (and play like they did.vs. Iowa) vs. a quality opponent in Wisc, with a potential trip to the Dance on the line..... all w/o arguably your best player? Or does it all come crumbling down after a huge, blowout loss to the Boilers tomorrow?

I guess we'll see!!!

i'm certainly expecting a loss tomorrow. perhaps even a big loss. but...

osu beat purdue at purdue last year with kaleb scoring 0 points on 4 shots with 2 rebounds and 4 fouls in only 12 minutes. kaleb was also ineffectual in our earlier loss to purdue. he fouled out in just 16 minutes after going 6 and 3.

i'm not saying that we're better off without kaleb tomorrow. absolutely not. however, we won last year by going small... not in spite of going small. though it obviously helped a lot that kbd went for 18 and 11 while providing good interior defense, perhaps we'll fare better again by not having kaleb on the court. for better and for worse, he's been a non-factor versus the boilermakers.

it's too bad that young is not 100% and that ledee has barely seen any time. we'll need all their fouls. more importantly, we'll need our guards and forwards to be efficient behind the arc while being efficient with the ball. another 19 turnovers and it's night night.

While I do expect Purdue to win, a situation and game like this could turn out to be a moment when Coach Holt's ability to adapt his team to cover for a personnel loss shines. Or maybe the Boilers will win by 20.

Somehow wouldn't be surprised to see the Buckeyes competitive today. Guards have to rebound. I'm going to assume Purdue throws 3 guys at the offensive boards every shot- they have some great effort guys and they won't be afraid of the Bucks pushing the ball in transition.

If there's some solid early effort on the glass and the Bucks make this a grind, I can see them hanging around. Obviously, hitting 8-10 threes would help. Andre Wesson always plays well, maybe he gives us something special for his brother.

Then again, Carsen and Cline could go off and blow this open with no answers...
