With exactly 2 weeks until signing day, the Buckeyes have been doing everything possible to keep the 2016 recruiting class the best in the country.

Ohio State has been on a tear on the recruiting trail as of late. With the nation's top 2016 class according to every major recruiting service, Urban Meyer and staff were back on the road again trying to fill the last few spots in the 2016 class.

Sam Bruce feeling OSU?

Current Miami (FL) commit Sam Bruce, product of St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida has been trending toward Ohio State and yesterday saw that trend only increase. The nation's eleventh-best receiver was visited by Urban Meyer and Zach Smith yesterday at St. Thomas Aquinas and things are currently looking as if the Buckeyes are the team to beat to land Bruce come signing day.

To go along with the rumors of Bruce being high on the Buckeyes, yesterday, Alex Gleitman of 247sports went as far as to put his Crystal Ball pick towards Ohio State for Sam. One thing is for sure, the quarterback pledge of the 2016 class, Dwayne Haskins, has been recruiting Bruce to Ohio State and it looks as if he feels pretty good about Ohio State's chances. Bruce himself seems to be feeling the love and enjoying the attention. With under two weeks until national signing day, the ultimate closer in Urban Meyer may be up for his next commit flip.

Hunter has OSU offer

2017 ATH Devon Hunter of Chesapeake, Virginia announced yesterday via his Twitter that he was told he had an offer to Ohio State. The 2017 prospect is currently the fourth-rated athlete in the class of 2017 and the second-best prospect in his home state of Virginia according to 247sports. While he currently plays quarterback, receiver, and safety for his high school team, at 6'3, 210 pounds, Devon has great size to play any variety of positions at the next level.

Currently, Devon holds offers from well over 20 schools with the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and others. It's easy to see why Ohio State would throw their hat into the ring as a player for Devon's services. There's nothing but time until signing day 2017, but with an already loaded Ohio State 2017 class, Urban Meyer and staff continue to put themselves in position to land many of the nation's top prospects.

Samuels III offered by Bucks

Staying in the class of 2017, Stanford Samuels III of Hollywood, Florida made it public last night via his Twitter that he also received an offer from Ohio State. Samuels is currently ranked by 247sports as the fourth-best cornerback in the class and the seventh-best prospect overall in the state of Florida for 2017. With above average size for a cornerback, standing at 6'2, 175 pounds, Samuels will be a nightmare for receivers lining up against him.

With offers from over 30 schools and many of the nation's elite football programs, Ohio State is a little late to the party in offering Samuels, but with Urban Meyer at the helm, a Buckeye offer will certainly catch his attention. As of right now, the home state Florida State Seminoles are the clear leader in the crystal ball predictions for Samuels services, but there's a long way to go before he decides on his college destination.

Meyer visits Becker

While being in South Florida yesterday, Urban Meyer stopped by Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida to visit Carlos Becker, a 2016 cornerback who is currently uncommitted. Ohio State is still in search of at least one more true defensive back for the 2016 class and Becker is one name Ohio State is strongly targeting nearing the end. Ranked highly by 247sports, Becker is the nation's fifteenth-best cornerback and a top-25 prospect in the state of Florida for 2016. As things stand right now, Florida State is the most likely destination for Carlos, but when Urban Meyer lays out the full-court press, anything is possible. While the Buckeyes are still in the running for targets such as Damar Hamlin and Jordan Fuller, Becker would certainly be a great get for Ohio State.
