Additionally, the Buckeyes made the top-9 for a ‘19 WR.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have already put together electric classes in 2017 and 2018. With 2019 in focus, Urban Meyer and the coaching staff are out in full force to bring the next great prospect to Columbus.

On Wednesday, the Bucks came a little closer to building up the ‘19 class. One of those recruits received an OSU offer, while another put the Scarlet and Gray in his list of top schools.

Hamilton (Gets an offer)

Safety Kyle Hamilton (Atlanta / Marist School) was the one to receive the coveted Ohio State offer on Wednesday evening. He made the offer known on Twitter.

While he doesn’t have a recruiting grade yet by 247sports, Hamilton has a pretty nice collection of offers going. So far, he has 24 of them—and they include some elite schools. Over the past week, he’s had close to an offer a day. On Wednesday, the Buckeyes offer came through; Tuesday saw the arrival of offers from Missouri, Minnesota and Notre Dame; the day before that, the Clemson Tigers made their move on the Atlanta native.

There is some serious interest for the 6-foot-3, 188-pound DB. With close to a year left before he needs to decide where he will attend college, expect things to heat up on the recruiting front for Hamilton. Especially when his recruiting ranking comes out, expect even more attention to be coming his way. He’s at least going to be in the hunt for a four-star rating by the recruiting services around the country.

One Step Closer

Wide receiver Deshon Stoudemire (Stone Mountain, GA / Stevenson) put the Scarlet and Gray up on his list of top schools. Stoudemire made his announcement on Twitter in the early evening.

Two other Big Ten programs join OSU in the mix for the 6-foot-1 receiver: Michigan State and Nebraska. Ohio State was the earliest of the Big Ten trio to make Stoudemire an offer, with theirs arriving on Dec. 23, 2017. Nebraska made their offer to the Peach State prospect a month later, and MSU put their offer through last week.

The programs that are in the mix for him include SEC powers Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina; additionally, West Virginia, Louisville and Iowa State are making a push to bring the Stephenson star to their respective program.

247sports hasn’t issued the WR a recruiting star ranking yet, by Rivals.com has him listed as a three-star. With the recent offers that have come through, and by the time 247sports completes their evaluation, we could see Stoudemire make a push to four-star status—especially if he has an electric season.

Cleveland’s Under Armour Camp may have featured some future Buckeyes

SB Nation’s own Alex Kirshner covered the Under Armour regional camp in Cleveland over the weekend, and wrote his evaluations Wednesday morning.

A handful of the prospects that displayed their football ability are seen as possible additions to the Ohio State football program. We’ll highlight a couple of those prospects.

Athlete Michael Drennen II (Dublin, OH / Dublin Coffman) was at the camp, and according to Kirshner, was “lighting-quick”. Right now, the 2020 prospect has early predictions in the 247sports crystal ball for him to commit to the Buckeyes when the time comes.

Zeke Correll (Cincinnati / Anderson) is a four-star offensive guard, and from Krishner’s viewpoint, was part of the “best position group” at the event. Correll is the No. 9 OG in the 2019 class, and holds over 20 offers. Things are looking up for Correll, as he received an Under Armour Game invitation by weekend’s end.

WOW! I had an AMAZING time competing and dominating today at the @AllAmericaGame UA Camp! I am extremely honored to receive an invite to the Under Armour All America Game in Orlando!!! #IWILL @steamboat_70 pic.twitter.com/nGL4F88tvy
