Northwestern will stay with us for 3 quarters. But I think we put the hammer down in the 4th. We must avoid the turnovers and stupid mistakes in order to win. Then it will be up to the play-off committee to decide our fate. I have a strong feeling we end up playing in the Rose Bow.

Man, I dunno. Watched enough NWU this year to not be convinced of that.

Edit: Was about to go wheels up and just hit submit without finishing.

I think the hammer comes down in the second quarter. They are a very disciplined team, but I don’t think that they can run with our kids. Offensively, if we maintain the discipline from last week, the Bucks will be in fine shape. I think that any other year this NWU team is a 2/3rd place B1G West team. Wisky was down and the rest just ate their own to NWs benefit.

What will be interesting is how many students show up. Apparently a donor threw a bunch of money at tickets and bus rides such that something like 50% of the undergrad population will be at the game. That said, I’m also not convinced that there is much to worry about there either as I expect them to have their noses buried in a text book during the game.

  1. identify it
  2. sit in soft spots, don't try to run through a zone
  3. stay patient
  4. pick it apart
You can also over load zones which you will see a lot of. For example vs ttun when they went zone we ran a route concept that took advantage of it.

Out of trips bunch formation the inside guy ran across the middle which got the MLB to follow. However since he followed the inside man his zone was vacant and a 2nd WR followed in right behind him and sat down. Wide open and it was a first down.
