Game Thread Ohio State v Northwestern B1G Championship, @ Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN 12/1/18 8PM, FOX

Excited for this.
Got to see the team step up to the plate for The Game... face adversity and overcome it. They earned a chance to see if they can keep that momentum and end the season strong as Champions.

In other news, I'm not sure how to deal with this classy coach from the opposition stuff... and from a University that could claim to be the Harvard of the West without being petulantly arrogant... but doesn't.

What will be interesting is how many students show up. Apparently a donor threw a bunch of money at tickets and bus rides such that something like 50% of the undergrad population will be at the game. That said, I’m also not convinced that there is much to worry about there either as I expect them to have their noses buried in a text book during the game.

Sounds like they'll be there in droves.....and yes there was a donor that gave away an allotment of tickets. This is a very big deal for them, it's not too far so I would expect a very good amount of NW fans. I've been following this team all year (thanks to the Upset Game), and I'm actually really happy for them. Not that I don't want us to completely curb stomp them. But, they really earned it. Coming back from 24-7 in the 4th Quarter against the Domers....impressive. A win for them would be huge (but completely kill our conference). That being said, Northwestern is an enigma. The Big Ten version of Pitt. You never know what you're going to get. Though, before last week the same could be said about us....

Yeah, I get the seating chart. Have been there plenty... what’s confusing is this:

FYI...the Bucks will be on the west side of the stadium per Lucas Oil ticket sales department.

Why put the B1G East champ on the west sideline and the B1G West champ on the east sideline.

Doesn’t matter to me so much, Shoowin knows where to put me... but for people trying to buy / sell in the secondary market, that decision could really confuse the shot out of people. It hosed me up for the ‘14 game... and given the fact that we had a couple of extra weeks to get tickets (Wisky locked two weeks after us I think), a lot of their tickets were purchased in the secondary market by tOSU people... and the Wisky folks largely bailed in the third Q anyhow. But it’s still potentially unnecessarily confusing.

A lot riding on this one. Obviously the B1G title is huge, and a win puts us back in the conversation for a spot in the CFP. Honestly though, as long as we beat Northwestern, it doesn't matter if we are left out of the playoffs. We'll still have nice landing spot in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. If we get in the CFP, that likely means that Xichigan will be playing in the Rose Bowl. Personally, I'd prefer those losers never do better than the Outback Bowl.....

Ughhhh..... Please don't send them down here. Taxslayer bowl or something like that in the middle of Idaho seems more appropriate.

Oh, for sure. I like me a curb stomping more than most. But between liking Coach Fitz and the home town connection to Clayton... I would be happy with a very comfortable victory. Specifically, something a bit more comfortable than last year. More like the first half and less like the second half.

I live in the middle of Idaho and it is way too nice here for the team up north. Taxslayer Bowl it is.

But I am in the crowd that just wants to see us win and the rest can sort itself out. I will take a win over the team up north and B1G Title...as already said, the worst outcome that can come of that is a trip to Pasadena, which I would love. Just beat the Fitzcats.
