Game Thread Ohio State vs Indiana, 10/08/16 @ 3:30 ET, ESPN/WatchESPN

You sons of bitches; I just got the dreaded, "This title is only available on Netflix DVD."
Update: it's available on Amazon Video with a Comic-Con HQ membership. Membership requires that you give yourself an atomic wedgie and stuff yourself in a locker.

I completed the first half before realizing that the second half would also require leaving my house.

This is the first time in awhile that I haven't thought IU will give our guys any trouble. I don't know if it's just a combination of these guys being too young and hungry to take them for granted or what. Maybe just a feeling that our defense just isn't going to put up with any of their [Mark May]. I feel the same way about the following week in Madison. I think they will dig the atmosphere there and thrive on it.

93-17 next two games for the good guys.

Thats just disrespectful..... to us.

That's my feeling as well. It's like incredible recruiting + monster NFL draft created the perfect storm. Plenty of open spots available, plenty of talent accepting the challenge to go get it. @bukIpower mentioned above that it seemed like we were too reliant on certain people last year. I agree but I think it went a little further than that. I think it was the separation between the 1's and the 2's last year that caused the coaches to stick with the starters all game every game. I know there was some rotation, but not like this. I can't ever remember a case where so many seem to be listed as a co-starter. I can barely keep up with who's in and who's out on any given play anymore. I'd almost request a graphic from the stations broadcasting Buckeye games. Maybe have the numbers listed on the right side of the screen with who's in, but I know that they'd pumpkin that up.

The amazing thing for us Buckeye fans is that all of that seems easily explainable with my new Buckeye Game Day Drinking game TM. It's simple, you just take a drink every time you see or hear the word "freshman" or "sophomore"!!
What's beautiful about what we are doing guys with rotating so freely is that this then gives these 2nd string guys first team reps. So when next year Rolls around and we again lose 3-5 underclassmen we don't lose a beat and we then just repeat the process.

The only thing that can throw off the cycle of playing massive amounts of people and developing yearly depth is if we have an off year recruiting. See as how the recruiting keeps getting stronger and stronger I don't see that happening anytime soon.

The young players when they know they're playing weekly will push themselves (and ultimately others around them) when they realize they can't just expect to get a redshirt or expect that they'll ride the bench all game. Everyone benefits when there's urgency and when you take that away you get a player that doesn't give you everything he has.

The affects of these young players playing and rotating so freely is really going to pay off late in our season this year and more importantly into the future when we have attrition.

I really hope we always rotate players like this. It's more of a team this way and everyone will be bought in. It's 58 pulling the weight not just 22 starters

URBAN MEYER TRUSTING LEADERS, USING INDIANA-MICHIGAN STATE TAPE TO ENSURE OHIO STATE DOES NOT OVERLOOK HOOSIERS

Urban Meyer is not fond of the word "surprise." If you experience surprises with your football team whether it be due to personnel or something unforeseen during a game, you made a mistake in recruiting or didn't prepare well enough.

“That's disrespectful realizing that we have talented guys,” Meyer said on Monday.

Meyer answered that way when asked if how much the 44 freshmen on his team developed so quickly thus far in 2016 perplexed him. The Buckeyes, considered the country's most inexperienced team before the season began, are 4-0, ranked No. 2 in the country and charging hard into Big Ten play.

“The young players, you really enjoy coaching them,” Meyer said. “Once, as you say, the game slows down, you start to see some terrific players develop.”

That is happening at a torrid pace so far this year and Meyer knows it. He is also aware the Buckeyes only be as good as that youth is when it's all said and done, which is why he's counting on the leaders in his program to prepare them for a more than game Indiana squad.

The Hoosiers, fresh off an overtime upset victory against Michigan State, visit Ohio Stadium at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. It's on players like the team's seven captains to stress how even though the Buckeyes are outscoring opponents 228-37 through four games, anything can happen.

“I think the best thing is when it's real and, for example, Indiana is real,” Meyer said Tuesday on the Big Ten teleconference. “The players are engaged and really good players come in and watch video tape and we respect every opponent, but sometimes when the film is not very good that's where you have to create scenarios or maybe not even show them much film.”

Jesus, I've never felt much animosity towards IU, but I just skimmed their rivals board....and fuck these fucking fucks. Other than the whole pedophile cult shit, that board has a creepy bwi vibe. These candy stripe pants wearing morons should be bending down and kissing our bucknuts for keeping their AD solvent and letting them live the illusion that they're a big boy athletic school. I hope Urban hangs 80 on them.
