COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State basketball hosts Indiana on Tuesday night for the first of two meetings this year with the Hoosiers. Here's what you need to know before tip-off:

GAME INFORMATION

Who: Indiana Hoosiers (12-10, 5-5 Big Ten) at No. 17 Ohio State Buckeyes (18-5, 9-1).

When: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Where: Value City Arena.

TV: ESPN2, with Dave Flemming and Dan Dakich on the call.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

* This will be the first ever meeting between Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann and Indiana coach Archie Miller. They are two of the three new coaches in the Big Ten this year. Illinois' Brad Underwood is the third, and Ohio State will see him on Sunday. But Holtmann vs. Miller is a matchup of the Buckeyes' new coach and the guy a lot of fans were hoping would come take over for Thad Matta. We'll have more on that in a separate story on Tuesday morning, but Holtmann vs. Miller could be a fun matchup over the next few years.....

* Holtmann is 1-2 in his career against Indiana, including a win last year with Butler in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. Miller is 1-0 against Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes with Dayton in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

* Ohio State had been stuck in a 3-point shooting cold streak coming into last Thursday's game against Penn State. The good news is that the Buckeyes seemed to find their stroke again, hitting 7-for-15 to get their 3-point percentage above 40 percent for the first time in five games. The bad news is that Penn State shot 11-for-14 from deep (78.6 percent), the best mark in program history. That led to Ohio State's first loss in over a month.

Indiana might be just what Ohio State ordered when it comes to the 3-ball. The Hoosiers are No. 335 in the country with a 3-point percentage of 30.5, and No. 297 in defensive 3-point percentage (37.8 percent). They're No. 11 in the Big Ten in both categories during conference play.
 
Just one thing I hope to see from the Buckeyes today is a difference in body language (simple thing).

So instead of sitting on the ground/standing there upset or frustrated by officiating (no matter the call), get up and get back on defense. Hoping for great focus today.

I will be surprised if this game isn't close. Both Robert Johnson and Juwan Morgan are going to give us problems.

We need to execute the way we were back when we played MSU and MD. More ball movement on offense and more energy on both ends than we've seen the past couple games. Hopefully the rest helped with that.

I will be pretty disappointed if we lose tonight and it will be pretty damaging to our Tourney aspirations. And fatigue will definitely not be an excuse any more (I don't think it should have been one versus PSU, we had three days before that game) as we last played Thursday and IU is coming off a Sunday game against Purdue.

No matter how you cut it this season has already exceeded expectations but now we've got a good chance to make the Dance and we can't let that slip away, especially when next season could end up being the rebuild we thought this season was going to be.

Big time game tonight really need this win to get back on track after that devastating shot. Hope they come out early hitting their shots they have trailed the last three games early on was down 10 vs Minnesota, down 7 vs Nebraska and down 12 to Penn State right very quickly.

Not only tourney aspirations but protected seed aspirations. Since the committee does their bracket on Feb 11th we will know if Ohio State is a protected seed at that time or not.

Last year the Big 10 was way down in the seeding on Feb 11th will they be again ?

If Ohio State can win the games they are favored against Indiana, Illinois and Iowa and only lose at Purdue before the Feb 11th show we will see if they crack the top 16 or not. If they do then we know they have a great shot to be a top 4 seed if they take care of business rest of way if not then we know they will have to win at Michigan plus take care of business and that might still not be enough.

Much better start tonight. IU played Sunday then travelled - Bucks should be fresher, and looking like it early.
