Iowa was the low hanging fruit home win. Had to have it in order to make a strong case for the tournament considering the losses to all the other upper half teams. But I feel like OSU has found some answers these last 2 games with increased minutes for Washington and Ahrens, and Woods doing a little better with CJ being limited.

I did not like the Holt T. He needed to turn the page and move on, no sense in continuing to argue when the call was long over. Plus, it was a good offensive foul call on the moving screen, so he was wrong to be complaining about it in the first place. Coach your team better to have the screen set before your guard tries to use it, and don't be surprised when a foul is called when your team doesn't execute properly.

it's easy to be optimistic when osu wins by 20, but as you point out, it's the apparent answers that give me hope. ahrens may very well respond with one or a few 0fer performances, but it's still clear that he brings a much needed element to our team that neither muhammad nor jallow bring. even if ahrens had instead shot 4/10 from deep, the spacing still would have been great. ahrens' benefit to kaleb and woods was palpable.

moreover, i think jackson's injury has been a positive because it's been a revelation about how the guards kill us when they push tempo and needlessly force offense once breaking beyond the perimeter defense. credit goes to woods for understanding his limitations. we're so much better when jackson, woods, and washington pull the ball out or set up the offense instead of being keystone cops in transition. we're not going to beat many good teams with the dribble. we don't have the athletes for it. instead, we can beat them with the pass.

a little frustration bites everyone now and again...though I do see your point
