I never quite understood your level of hatred toward WM, beyond the obvious of him being a tsun supporter. I probably missed something along the way, but he was far from being the most obnoxious foreign fan to ever post on BP.

I'm not going with you! I mean FFS you'll have a dvd in a couple weeks that you can have and cherish and watch when football season is over. College football season is the one time of year that Jessica Alba might call me for a booty call. I'm not getting married to a second choice while games are still on.

I would refuse but it's family and everyone, for the most part, agrees that this wedding is the marital equivalent of waving at passengers departing from the White Star Lines dock in 1912...

And free booze.

Edit: Free booze for the people on the dock, that is.

I actually told my wife's brother and his bride to be that I will just send a gift, I don't attend fall weddings back in '15.

Between that one and my own wedding being readjusted for Buckeye football 20 years ago this year, I think they are starting to get the picture.

Do what I've done the last several weddings I've been invited to. I tell the bride (because in my case we've been on the bride's side of the family) that if I have to go to the wedding I'll buy a gift, but if I don't have to I'll buy a much nicer gift. I have yet to have them turn down the nicer gift.

I guess the turning leaves just bring out the rush of true love and the unbearable drive to capture that beautiful bride.
