Game Thread Ohio State vs Maryland, 10/07/17 @ 4:00 ET (FOX)

What would you guys like to see from this game?

1. No major injuries for either team. No "targeting" penalties that get a Buckeye kicked out of the first half next week.
2. A Buckeye win.
3. Buckeyes with a special teams or defensive touchdown.
4. 100+ yards rushing from Weber AND from Dobbins. Meh - put Barrett in there, too.
5. No horrendous dropped-passes from receivers.
6. I'm taking my 8-year-old to the game, and he has the bladder the size of an 8-year-old's. I'd like to see the halftime show, but I likely won't get to see it.
7. On top of the 300 yards rushing I mentioned in #4, I want to see Barrett with 200+ pass yards before being pulled, early in the third quarter. Add another 100+ yards passing from the backups.
8. I want to see deep passes that are completed. Not just one. Three or Four. Show me a couple of receivers fighting for the ball and getting them. Show me that these "50/50" balls are really more like "90/10" balls. Show me that these receivers can still do something if a defender is nearby - that they aren't going to give up just because they're being covered.
9. I want to see Bosa teabag the Maryland quarterback. I'd be happy with the 15-yard penalties if that happened.

1. Less penalties
2. A defensive score
3. Turnover margin = 2+
4. Better linebacker play and cohesion in the secondary
5. An established passing game with five throws beyond 20 yards, leading the receiver like the called-back TD last week.
6. Continuing to improve on indecision by Barrett
7. Relying on the running game, with Dobbins getting 100 yds
8. Again, less penalties
9. An injury-free game

Ohio State releases depth chart for Week 6 against Maryland

With injuries and off-field issues, the Buckeye depth chart looks a little different this week.

Some changes include kicker Sean Nuernberger handling kick-off duties this week, in addition to field goal and point after attempts. Both Dre’Mont Jones (injury) and Erick Smith (non-injury) are expected to miss Saturday’s matchup against Maryland, and Jashon Cornell has been moved to the starting DT spot in Jones’ absence.

Re:
..................First team.....................Second team..............Third team
MLB: Chris Worley (or) Tuf Borland.....Baron Browning........-

Just sayin': When you have 2 guys listed as first team, isn't the second team guy really third team?

What would you guys like to see from this game? Here's mine

1. Stop the run cold. Their QB isn't going to beat us and their WR's are very small (all under 6 foot) and I feel good where our secondary is at considering where we started. This is one of those games when we know what they do best, there's no hiding it, and their best player is their running back. I'd be disappointed if we allowed them to go for something like 140+ when we know what's coming. What has been odd is even after Army the other two teams have been running for more yards then they're passing for which is a little surprising.

2. Hit 1 more shot over top. I'd love to see us put 1 more score on the board from 40+ yards out on a true deep throw. Now that we've hit a few and if we can hit another one then damn will teams have a dilemma on if they should load the box or protect over top.

3. No big penalties. We've had too many penalties that call back big gains and too many that give the other team sustained drives. We can't do this against PSU/Iowa/MSU, but particularly against THEM.

No injuries
Continued development on both sides of the ball
A special teams score
A defensive score
Another shutout
