    Ohio State vs. Maryland Series
The Buckeyes are making their first trip to Maryland in Big Ten Conference play. Ohio State is 5-2 overall in the all-time series. The Terrapins are 2-1 vs. the Buckeyes in College Park. Ohio State is 3-0 in Columbus. The teams have not met at Maryland since a 76-73 Terrapin win Dec. 11, 1984.

    Last Time vs. Maryland
Marc Loving matched his then-career high with 19 points and D’Angelo Russell added 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead Ohio State to an 80-56 victory over No. 16 Maryland. The Buckeyes dominated the Terrapins on the glass (51-32) and on defense. Jae’Sean Tate, starting his third game in a row, added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Buckeyes. Loving, off the bench, responded by hitting all five of his 3-pointers as the Buckeyes went 10 of 17 behind the arc. Russell, the nation’s leading freshman scorer a year ago, flirted with a triple-double. He also had six assists and two steals, and didn’t commit a turnover in 34 minutes. Ahead by eight points at halftime thanks to a 12-0 run, the Buckeyes took control early in the second half. Up 41-32 just 3 minutes in, the Buckeyes went on a rapid-fire 7-0 run. Later, Loving hit consecutive 3s to push the lead to 54-38 with under 14 minutes left, and Maryland never again threatened.

    Scouting the Terrapins
No. 3 Maryland returns home after dropping a 70-67 decision at Michigan last Tuesday in Ann Arbor. At 15-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten, the Terrapins are balanced offensively with five players in double figures. Sophomore guard Melo Trimble leads the way with 14.1 points per game. Freshman center Diamond Stone (13.6 ppg.), junior forward Robert Carter (12.7 ppg.), senior forward Jake Layman (11.1 ppg.) and Rasheed Sulaimon (10.2 ppg.) follow Trimble’s lead. Carter is the squad’s top rebounder with 6.7 boards a game.

So far in conference the Bucks have beaten the teams they "should" beat. With 2 games against the Terps and 2 against Sparty, can't afford any bad losses.

This would be a huge win, obviously.

Defense has been decent...oh come on!

Definitely need to keep pace with the scoring, though.

Bucks down 21-17. I hope settling for that field goal doesn't come back to bite us.
