Game Thread Ohio State vs Michigan State - 10/05/19, 7:30PM (ABC)

Absolute BS call from your friendly B1G officials negates a beautiful pick six from Jordan Fuller.

Not a block in the back, they called an "illegal blind-side block".... the new rule this yr enforced to try to eliminate crack-back, blind-sided blocks that players don't see coming.

Dude looked right at Baron Browning before the block occurred. The rule also says there needs to be "forceable contact". MSU player did a heck of an acting job. Browning did a great job of easing up if you ask me. Could have laid him out but he didn't. Bad call that took 6 points off the board for the Silver Bullets.

absolutely every data point has been compiled going back at least a couple decades. would be very easy for the statisticians at espn to figure this out, at least when looking at games since the 1990s or so.
Oh I don't doubt they have stats if someone wanted to do the legwork I just don't think the legwork has been done which means some poor starts intern would be hating life for a few weeks

If anyone who didn't watch this game wants to give the buckeyes shit.. tell them that they should have scored 10 more and that MSU had Zero holding or PI calls.. If they know college football.. they might understand

We’re six games into the season and no OL has been flagged for holding on our DL.

Ridiculous.

it would literally take no more than a couple minutes for a statistician to write the code and figure out the record. espn is constantly citing odd stats from games that have just finished (or are still being played).

Frustrating start but as others in this thread indicated, I kind of expected...that is just what Sparty does whenever we play them. But all in all, I think that was a great performance and a much needed test heading into the bye week. Sparty has a VERY good defense and to run the ball like we did on them was extremely impressive. Thankfully the coaches did not abandon the run and trusted our OL and Dobbins to start breaking some runs open, which we did. There were some breakdowns on defense that need to be corrected, but there were some phenomenal plays as well...you can tell how fast opposing QBs know they have to get the ball out with the pressure we are getting and even then, we have guys getting home regularly. Another damn good game from Baron Browning, beyond impressed with his improvement, he is a difference maker. And Wade had an AMAZING game tonight, this guy is just an unreal talent and as physical as they come.

Fields had an alright game and he is doing so well with his raw talent and athleticism, but I feel like he is still lagging on his reads quite a bit. Not really complaining though, he is doing a great job, just pointing out that he still has plenty of room for improvement imo and that is kind of scary.

Bottom line, we beat Sparty by 24 points and there is no scenario where that doesn't make me smile. Damn good job Bucks and get some much deserved rest and heal up.

EDIT: That call on Fuller's pick six was such utter bullshit, I don't know in what planet you could call that a "blindside block". Beautiful return for a TD, should have had 40+ tonight to say the least.
