Easily Amused by the Bitterly Disappointed
Alright, I’ll bite.
Some of you need to buck up and support this team or log off the site. Pretending the Bucks don’t have a prayer against a team that just beat Penn State on a last second field goal, that same team the Bucks brutally slaughtered in the stat columns a few weeks ago, is pathetic. Ohio State hasn’t been blown out in every game, so let’s stop acting like it.
No, I don’t give a shit that they had to stage a comeback due to shooting themselves in the foot, they DESTROYED Penn State on both sides of the ball. That game should have been a blow out as well, in favor of the good guys.
They have a horrible showing following an emotionally draining game, and you’re ready to throw in the towel for the year like a bunch of spoiled brats. I am thankful we have a group of young men that don’t follow this same absurd way of thinking, otherwise they’d come out at midfield for the coin toss waving the white flag.
Every dog has its day and Iowa sure as hell had theirs, now let’s congratulate them and move on. They were tired of hearing how they were just a bump in the road on the Ohio State playoff cruise and came ready for blood. It happens.
If you don’t think this program has the heart and guts to pick it back up and knock off MSU, then you don’t know shit. Even if they come out and fall flat for the second week in a row, they deserve our support and respect in losing and winning. There are seniors on this team that have given everything they have year after year. If you can’t find another excuse for sucking up your piss poor attitude, use this one.
Our honor defend. Let’s act like we have some to begin with, shall we?
Go Bucks. Beat Sparty. Beat fair weather fan bases. Win or lose, O-H!

No joke, we need a complete 180 to get the win..I give zero shits about beating the spread or winning big. From watching MSU, I basically see Iowa, except better. I just think a lot of others are seeing the same thing and after such a disheartening loss, there are legitimate reasons to be concerned. And that isn't even throwing in the fact that MSU under Dantonio always gives us fits.
I will be 100% behind them screaming my ass off and supporting my team like every Saturday, but I have to be realistic after what we have seen so far this year because I have no idea what team we will see walk on the field. I hope it is a pissed off team that plays to their potential and limits mistakes...that team will definitely win. If it is anything close to the Oklahoma or Iowa game, or the first half of PSU, then we are in trouble. And none of this slow start shit we have been pulling, you can't come back on a defense like MSU after you dig yourself in a huge hole. However, Urban tends to get his teams to rally back after a loss, so I am hopeful he will do the same and we can finish out the season with a shot at a B1G title and a New Years bowl game.

I have been a Buckeye fan forever and will always be ..some years they overachieve and some they underachieve. Just because I am disappointed by a performance here or there I am still a fan. Beat Sparty!! However tOSU the football team should not be above criticism..,

Agreed. However, there’s a huge difference between criticism and behaving like the sky is falling and this is the worst team to ever play football. The team that stepped on the field Saturday is the same one that manhandled Penn State a week ago.
Did they play their worst game of the season by a long shot? Yep. Still not an excuse to trash the team over and over again.

I don't see it as trashing the buckeyes... Besides the "trust me I'm an expert" dude I haven't seen anyone call for jobs or the like. Most of us are just pointing out obvious trends within our losses because it really can be frustrating.
In saying that you bet that everyone of us here will be cheering on UFM and the boys in a few days against sparty.

I wasn’t directing my post at anyone specific here at BP, but the overall comments and attitude that I’ve witnessed from the fan base between here and 11W has been gruesome.
From thinking Urban should be fired to claiming Sparty is going to mop the floor with the team after last week as if the Bucks might as well just forfeit and not play.
I’m as apprehensive as anyone else, but there’s nothing that tells me this team can’t compete against Sparty this weekend.
I just grow tired of the meltdown after every bad performance. Ohio State has been one of the most dominate programs in football over the last decade. I’m crushed after a loss as well, but that’s no reason to throw these kids and all the coaches under the bus when they don’t run roughshod over every opponent they face.
After what I witnessed in the 4th quarter against Penn State, I’d suggest we at the very least not count this team out just yet. There are still a lot of goals and accomplishments to be had this year that are very much within their reach.
