It wasn't that long ago that Ohio State used a gritty road victory over Northwestern was seen as a high point for Ohio State's season. After a 65-56 win on Jan 7th, the Buckeyes sat 3-0 in Big Ten play, and talk of backing into an NCAA bid was certainly not crazy. But as the schedule got tougher, the wheels began to fall off a bit for the Buckeyes.
Now, with a 14-10 overall record (6-5 in Big Ten play), Ohio State welcomes the Wildcats for a rematch. With a win, Ohio State can keep pace in the middle of the Big Ten and keep their distant NCAA hopes alive. A loss, and the Buckeyes appear destined for an early Big Ten Tournament game, and the road to even an NIT bid appears cloudier.
Can Ohio State turn it around? Can Marc Loving begin his comeback after a series of rough games? The only way to find out is to watch, which you should do with us.
