Ohio State vs. Rutgers, Saturday, February 2 @ 12pm, BTN

That's why teams like the 'Cuse knock off some good teams but also lose some games that they have no business losing. If u shoot the 3 well u can beat them any night.
Beg to differ. I think Jimmy boy up at Syracuse almost recruits for his zone defense. There basketball players are usually pretty long and lean. They also play it all of the time so everyone knows their responsibilities. I can remember one game this season Holtmann switch to a zone on the last possession of the half coming out of a timeout and guess what happened…the opposing team got a open three-pointer. Stay in the defense that you know and practice.

So u are telling me they can only be good at and run one defense? U are right about the type of players, length and athletes that 'Cuse brings in to be successful in the zone (OSU just doesn't have that size/length), but trying to sell me on not sprinkling in a zone on a few possessions here and there to change the pace of a game or give the opponent a different look, or even entice them to shoot 3's in certain situations, bc they are only a man-to-man team is a weak argument. They run it so they obviously practice it. Get better. Zone principles aren't all that complex. I think every coach needs to have one in their coaching arsenal.
