Game Thread Ohio State vs Wisconsin - 10/26/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

0:34 in the clip. Looks like it’s going off the side of his foot to me. The rest of which you type? You could be 1000% correct. I take it as you suggesting he altered the path of his leg to avoid the block? Maybe. Could totally be right.

I thought the defender got a piece of it, but I’m not 100% sure. But I will say that I was worried from the first punt on that he was taking too long to get the punts off. They’re going to have pick that up or we’re going to get blocked, undoubtably at the worst possible time.

I’m pretty sure that the defender did get a piece of it. I question if he _would_ have gotten a piece of it had the kick not gone off the side of the kicking foot.

Yes, I’m definitely saying he intentionally altered his leg’s direction. Note his landing was quite awkward and not as he usually finishes a punt.

Interesting observations from Zach Smith’s M2MW podcast:

Ohio State had 10 of 11 D starters grade out 70% or better by PFF. Wisconsin had 0.
Ohio State had 2 missed tackles (both by 4th Q subs). Wisconsin had 16.
Ohio State was 50% on 3rd down 1st half despite averaging 3rd and 11. Was over 80% in 2nd half averaging 3rd and 4. Against the best 3rd down defense in the country.
Everyone said they wanted to see how Fields performed in the 2nd half of a close game. Well, Wisconsin’s starting D hadn’t played 50 snaps in a game all season. They were on the field for over 40 in the first half.

Brother fixed bloody Mary's to get things started.
Drank more breakfast at Varsity Club.
Went to the Skull Session.
Tailgated for a bit. More beer.
Attended the game, section c-12.
Shopping for some gear to take home.
Schmidt's Sausage Haus for dinner, more beer.
Returned to my brother's house to watch the replay, more beer.
Returned to Denver late late late last night. Foot of snow on the ground, 9 degrees.

DTV is getting better with having more games in 4K, but they're still a little hit-and-miss. It was either last weekend or the weekend before, they had three 4K games available at the same time. Today only had only 4K game and only one currently scheduled for next weekend (NW at Indiana). They've only had two B1G games in 4K so far (an Iowa game and a Minnesota game)...most are either PAC 12 or Big 12 games. I would probably hold off getting DTV again if it would be only for 4K football games.
@DaddyBigBucks Update to my previous reply. 4K football schedule for the next few days:

Thu: 49ers at Ariz
Sat: Va Tech at ND
Sat: NW'ern at Ind

Nice indication for the future that another B1G game will be shown in 4K.

Question about the whole 4k thing......is DTV the only way to get true 4k broadcast? I have a Samsung 4k UHD TV but with Spectrum cable. Everything I can find says Spectrum boxes max out at 1080, but the TV does try to upscale, although the quality is less than true 4k.

Edit...just found the answer. 4k is available thru the Spectrum app on the TV but not thru the boxes.

Yeah, DirecTV is the only source I know of right now for broadcast 4K. I'm really surprised Dish doesn't have it yet.
