Ohio State Women's Ice Hockey (2022 WCHA Champions, 2022, 2024 National Champions)

"We don't always want to be a bridesmaid. We want to be a bride now,” Muzerall said. “That shouldn't be our benchmark anymore, getting to a Frozen Four. Now it's got to be to win the whole thing.”

After losing in the Frozen Four last year, Buckeyes eye national championship

"It was obviously hard losing (in the Frozen Four) last year, and we were disappointed, but I just think it proved that we are there and that we have that potential,” Jaques said. “I think the focus coming into this year was — I know in previous years it was like, 'Let's get to the Frozen Four, we've never done that before, let's do it.' Now it's, 'Let's win a national championship,' and that's our next step and there's nothing stopping us if we execute well together.”

Two Buckeyes on the Canadian Olympic team: current student Emma Maltais and alum Natalie Spooner. Spooner--probably the best player in Ohio State history--will be going for her third Olympic medal with Team Canada.

Current senior Andrea Braendli will be the starting goalie for the Swiss team.

Jincy Dunne makes her first Olympics for the USA.

Dunne has two assists against her teammate who's goal tending for the Swiss. Unfortunately, Braendli has gotten shelled for the Swiss: 1-12 (not sure if she was pulled at some point) against Canada and now down 0-8 right to the US.

And now for an Ohio State team that doesn't fold. Down 0-2 at the beginning of the third. They score two to take it to overtime and then score the winner 30 seconds into OT. Win the WCHA and should be the overall #1 seed in the NCAA now.
This game will be re-broadcast on BTN at 9 am ET tomorrow (Wed, 3/9).
