Interview with Jordan Decatur

Kid can't stop grinning from ear to ear about how excited he was to pull the redshirt and how much he loves the Buckeyes. Never saw a kid so legit happy to be a Buckeye, and has a shit ton of confidence. I think Jordan is going to be a fan favorite here. Going to be fun watching him grow over the season.

And in other news that rocks the landscape of college wrestling for this year...PSU loses Conel at 197 and Cassar at HWT for the season. That all but knocks them out of the top 3 nationally. Iowa is still the proverbial favorite, but we might actually have a shot at making a run nationally. Some chips have to fall into place (Decatur keeps developing at 133, we find a solution at 157, Rocky slots in and competes well at 184, Chase returns at heavy...), but there are some real decisions to make on going all out to winning the whole thing this year. I don't know that we have another Pletcher or Moore on our lineup, so we might want to push all the chips out on the table. Peeling Decatur's redshirt might have been step one. Will be interesting to see what Ryan does now.
