The Buckeyes' star keeps racking up major accolades.

Ohio State sophomore guard Kelsey Mitchell has been named national player of the week by ESPNW for the second time this season. The award comes on the heels of the Buckeyes' biggest win of the season, 80-71 against No. 6 Maryland in College Park on Saturday.

Despite some serious struggles with her perimeter shot in the victory against the Terrapins and in an 85-80 win over No. 24 Michigan State on New Year's Eve, Mitchell averaged 26.5 points in the two contests, and went a very solid 19-for-21 from the free throw line. The Cincinnati native also averaged 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals.

For the season, Mitchell is second in the country in scoring at 24.7 points per game.

Ohio State is now 10-3 on the season, and at 2-0 in Big Ten play, one of just four undefeated teams remaining in the conference. The Buckeyes will look to continue their winning ways on Thursday evening at Value City Arena as they host Indiana.
