Yeah, but if you do that....be sure to act all incredulous at the cops because they stopped you.

I believe "do you know who I am?" is the prerequisite question celebrities, or those who fancy themselves as such, are supposed to ask if stopped by cops while doing stupid shit.

It sets the tone early in the interaction and lets the cops know you aren't to be trifled with.

And if the cop doesn't seem to grasp the gravity of "who you are," a firm, "you work for ME!" should set him straight.

I also like to use "I pay your F'in salary" approach.

A variant of Carlin's famous "Aren't you a public servant? Go get me a glass of water" stratagem.

Not being a celebrity myself, I can't vouch for the efficacy of said approach first hand although I have seen non-celebrities try to use it and fail (often spectacularly so).
