Witnesses have said bodies were flying 30 feet into the air at the moment of the collision. While I hope that whoever that was survived, the force needed for that to occur makes me wonder how fast she was going....

Maybe not that fast. A little less than three years ago, my wife got run over by guy making a left turn (she had the walk sign and he had a green to go straight, but was obviously supposed to look for pedestrians in the crosswalk before turning). He probably wasn't going all that fast, but the police report estimated that she traveled 40 feet from the point of impact. He was driving an Expedition and my wife is only 5'0" and about 100 pounds, but still . . . She ended up with a broken femur and three cracked ribs, but recovered completely.

Oklahoma State approves $700K raise for Mike Gundy

Earlier this week, it appeared Mike Gundy was on the verge of leaving Oklahoma State and taking the Tennessee job. After mulling over the opportunity, the head coach opted to remain at his alma mater.

Not surprisingly, and as ofttimes happens around this time of year, that show of loyalty has benefitted Gundy financially as Tulsa World‘s Mark Cooper is reporting that the university system’s Board of Regents has approved an addendum to the coach’s contract that will push his salary in 2018 to $5 million. In mid-June, the same regents approved a contract extension for Gundy that would’ve paid him $4.325 million next year.
