Monday, November 8, 2004 Update: Peterson's eligibilty is in jeopardy because of a Web site that may be earning profits off Peterson's image, the Oklahoma football team reported Thursday.

Recommendation: A fan site, adrian-peterson.com, now has a disclosure on the top of the site. Before, there was nothing that showed that the site was not connected to Peterson personally. Under NCAA rules, a student-athlete cannot use his image to promote commercial products. If the image is being used without the athlete's knowledge, the athlete and school still are required to take steps to to stop the activity. Peterson has not been declared ineligible yet, but the NCAA may have grounds against him.

what the fuck is it about amazing freshmen running backs? i know this is probably a nothing case, but jesus christ. put your pads on, run for 250 yards, score 4 times, and stay the fuck out of trouble! the 250 yards and the 4 TDs is the hard part, and you can already do that.

That doens't sound like he had anything to do with it, so I highly doubt this effects him at all.

I have seen nothing (other than his comment when he was a senior in HS about going straight to the NFL) that would make me think he is anywhere near the type of person that MoC was...

Peterson was quoted before ever signing his LOI as being "ready for the NFL". And he meant it. Will he play by the rules? Yeah, probably. He saw the whole Clarett fiasco and knows better than to test the NFL's lawyers.

First of all, any moron can start a web site (I should know, that's what I do for a living  ). Second, if you go to the site (which I did) you can see that there no pop-ups and that it is not a pay site...it's obviously made by a fan of Peterson and Oklahoma football. There is absolutely no way that Peterson is violating any NCAA rules.
