Andrew Norwell (Cincinnati/Anderson) is another talented junior offensive lineman with scholarship offers. The 6-6, 270-pound Norwell received an offer from Ohio State this week. He also has scholarship offers from Indiana, Cincinnati and Duke.

Norwell, whose older brother Chris Norwell was a defensive lineman for Illinois, says Ohio State sits at the top of his list.

Great news indeed...I was at the Tecumseh vs. Anderson game last night and forgot that Norwell even played for Anderson until right before the game started, so I kept my eye on him and here is my review:

Norwell is absolutely massive but is an unbelievable athlete for his size. Norwell gets excellent pad level, drives the defender 5 yards back, and puts them in the turf. I can't count all the pancakes he had last night. Watching Andrew move to the next level is a treat because you can see how athletic he is. I was also impressed with his first step in pass protectio and I see LT as his future destination. I was expecting to see more of a project but I was very impressed with his technique for his age. His effort is 100% every play as well and you will never see him take a play off. I just came on here to say if we don't offer Norwell, we're crazy, but it looks as if Tressel beat me to it  Right now I have Norwell as the #1 OL in the state, just above James, who I want to see in person as well.

A mid-week call from Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel didn't shake Andrew Norwell's playoff focus.

Norwell, a junior left tackle for Anderson, and the Redskins' offensive line dominated No. 2 New Carlisle Tecumseh (11-1) during the second round of the Division II playoffs Friday, Nov. 7.

Scoring on its first three possessions of the second half after a shaky start in the first half, Anderson advanced to the regional finals while rolling over Tecumseh, 31-13.

"Tressel told me to go out and win another state championship and that's our plan," Norwell said of maintaining focus on his current goals despite receiving an offer to play at Ohio State on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Watch the game on STO and he looked very good...Very athletic...Not sure how good yet...He looks more athletic than Boone, but he is also playing high school kids, even tho he was blocking Custis some...

He is a very high level prospect tho, and has great size and athletic ability, and keeps going till the whistle...
