Still favoring OSU & still planning on committing soon... Notre Dame wants him to visit later in the Spring but Bobek plans to have decided by then... Plans to squeeze in visits to _ichigan & Michigan State on the same weekend sometime soon & decide shortly after...

Bobek would like to commit to a program shortly after his visits to Michigan St & _ichigan this weekend... His Dad says Ball State has been eliminated & OSU is still his leader... If he's not ready to commit after the visits, he should at least be able to pare his list from OSU, MSU, scUM, & Purdue...

Worked with the Seniors at last years MSU camp despite being a Junior & was still one of the top performers... Bobeks Dad attended high school with the Sparty OL coach... OSU leads but all schools except Ball State are still being considered... Plans are to commit by the end of March if possible...

Bobek Lands MSU Offer | Ohio State Buckeyes College Football Recruiting, OSU Big Ten Football, OSU Basketball – Bucknuts.com

Offensive lineman Brian Bobek (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) is set to visit Michigan State on Sunday evening and Monday morning. He won't have to wait to arrive in East Lansing for a scholarship offer from the Spartans.

MSU assistant Dan Roushar informed Bobek that Spartan Coach Mark Dantonio has approved Bobek's offer, and Bobek will be receiving it formally on Monday.

Bobek has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State and Ball State. He will soon select a college from OSU, MSU, Purdue and Michigan.

The Buckeyes currently hold the lead.

By BK...recaps his MSU and UM visits...will likely decide at the end of March...will probably visit MSU and OSU again and is favoring OSU.

Sounds like this OL class could be close to shored up early with Carter, Underwood, Bobek and [eventually] Walker...wouldn't mind seeing one more OT in this class which would give OSU a full front coming in for 2011.

Of those named I think Walker is an eventual tackle. Who knows if Carter or Underwood are done growing. The only thing that seems to be pretty evident is that Bobek projects as a center. Guys who could fill that other tackle spot? First name that comes to mind is Kiaro Holts...second would be Landon Turner...third would be Christian Westerman. I like Brad Carrico but I think he is ND bound and the OSU staff does not seem interested. Tony Springmann is another name that has floated around. There are some that think Chase Farris could eventually be a LT too.
