OL Chase Farris (Official Thread)

Rivals $ - Farris feels home at Ohio State
Kevin Noon at BuckeyeGrove.com, March 4, 2010

Farris visited OSU today & was blown away by the facilities as well as the planned upgrades... He admits to the bloom coming off the rose of recruiting & not getting the same excitement from offers & attention from schools... It's clear he feels wanted & very comfortable at OSU (like family, like home)... Still plans to see a few more schools before talking things over with his coach & hopefully deciding in the Spring...

Bucknuts $ - Farris Homeward Bound
By Bill Kurelic
Posted Mar 04, 2010

The first meeting for Farris & his Mom once on campus today was with Tressel & an equipment manager who just happened to have a throwback #57 Buckeye jersey with him (Farris' HS number)... They then went on a campus tour & met with an academic adviser... The visit wrapped up with some time talking to current players & then a 1on1 with Tressel... OSU is recruiting him as a DE & he'll be back on 3/20 for a junior day...

Scout $ - Farris Adding Offers Weekly
By Bill Greene of SuperPrep.com, Posted Mar 8, 2010

Check the first post for added offers... Most (including OSU) are recruiting him as a DE but some for OT... Recaps last weeks visit & talks about the things he & his Mom liked... He's come down from the high of being offered by OSU & he's trying to objecively look at every school... Distance will "probably" be a factor... He wants to talk things over with his coach & come up with a plan... No leader, no time table...

Farris Names Leader, Two Contenders
Posted by Bill Kurelic on Mar 09, 2010 at 03:01 pm

Big defensive end Chase Farris (Elyria, Ohio/Catholic) revealed the schools at the top of his list for ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com.

The Buckeyes are Farris' early leader, but Notre Dame and West Virginia are two schools he definitely wants to check out before deciding. "Those are my big, big three," Farris said. "I'm still open to other schools right now though."

cont...
