There is a reason why coaching appointments--and leadership appointments in corporate life--typically are made for fixed periods. You get comfortable. You stop seeing the nuances that you once saw. Coach Studs has made a good contribution at Ohio State and the time has come to move on to another challenge. Best wishes for success and thanks for your service at Ohio State.

I think Stud has always been the same, a good developer of talent. But a plain bad recruiter unless he got massive help or the kid was a complete lay up. I appreciated him for his strengths, but watching year after, elite guys that we were in on early, going somewhere else stung majorly. And always settling on the next project isn't the best option.
