Bingo. In my view, the Schiano hire is a ground rule double in comparison to this hire's home run. And I think the world of Schiano as our DC.

On a different note, why did Studrawa leave LSU?

Really, really good hire imo. Very happy to finally see this come to fruition.

This gives me hope. I have no doubt the OLine will be in fine hands, Warriner will call the plays, now my only concern is the regression at QB due to the tard.

Yep, played for his Dad (Denny) when I was at FHS. Good family and he got a raw deal at LSU.

Was the OL coach under Meyer at Bowling Green in '01-'02. Was supposed to leave with Meyer for Utah in '03 for the same position but decided to stay at BGSU after Greg Brandon (Meyer's previous OC) got the HC gig and offered Studrawa the OL/OC position.

Urban is hiring guys he can 'lean' on this year. I think last year was a 'grind' for him too. UFM is trying to try tokeepsome stability..Johnson and Sturdwa are going to stay a while. Greg is insurance if Ed was to get a HC gig sometime.

Having long term stability at both line coaches is huge. Plus I have this feeling that fickell and combs will be here for a while just because I think they have developed a great relationship with urban and a OSU. It can be difficult to leave when you love your job and your boss. A few more years without any real talk of them leaving and they may be hooked. We just keep going through DCs and OCs like crazy.

We don't need to be calling him 'the tard'....he's not my favorite either but we don't need to use pejoratives, especially when they clearly aren't true...

Good point. There's also that rule about bashing Buckeyes and last time I checked Tim Beck is a Buckeye.
