Like this kid a lot...he, Turner and J.T. Moore all look like they could be very well rated next year. While Turner could play any number of positions and Moore looks to me like a future LEO, Baldwin is more in the mold of the recent OSU DE...like Fellows, Hayward, Wilson, etc.

Add Gholston to the mix and you have a ton of Dline talent that we will be recruiting next year...

BTW Hodgepodge was on this one long ago...

If you goto one of the Solon players on scoutingohio...Think Steve Greer from last year, you can see Baldwin playing DE...

Believe he is a solid basketball player as well...

Looking at a few pictures of Baldwin, he looks like a definite DT or OL at the next level. Big-framed kid with really long limbs. Regardless of where he plays, he sounds like a keeper.

I think Gholston and Derrick Bryant are the DE's for '10, with Turner being more of a LB/LEO.

The local cable game of the week was Solon vs Hudson. Baldwin, for sure is the real deal, in other words, he dominated the way a recruit tOSU offered should. After only one series, the play by play guy commented; "Hudson is going to have to run their plays away from Baldwin.:)

The 6'6, 245-lb Baldwin has several offers: Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois, West Virginia and Akron. He now has gone on two unofficial visits this year, with more on the way.

"I went to Ohio State when they played Youngstown State," Baldwin said, "I'm probably going to visit them again and maybe Illinois and Notre Dame."

Defensive end Darryl Baldwin (Solon, Ohio), one of the top class of 2010 prospects in the Buckeye State, has seen his scholarship offer total rise to five. Baldwin has offers from Ohio State, West Virginia, Illinois, Michigan and Akron. Saturday Baldwin will attend an Ohio State home game for the second time this season. He has also attended a Michigan game.

"I would say my favorite right now would be Ohio State," Baldwin said. "But I wouldn't say I'm getting close to deciding."
