OT Dawand Jones (All B1G, All-American, Cleveland Browns)

I would very much doubt it unless it was some goal line specialty scheme to eat up space. I don't see the tools there to play DL consistently. Plus I think Dawand is going to be our critical "next guy up" or 6th OL if he doesn't win a starting job. I think he'll get plenty of PT regardless and there is always an injury along the OL at some point, and will be a huge part of our offense. Also wouldn't mind seeing him as a TE/6th OL in goal line situations, no doubt the dude can move people, especially when people are boxed in and can't get out in space.
Yes, it's very notable to Dawand's career path that Paris may not play any tackle until 2022. Instead of battling Paris for that distinction, he now may have it all to himself as the first backup.

Looks like he's ready for some "contact" in practice, as Al Bundy would say:

“Nothing changed except Dawand’s development,” Studrawa said this week. “His summer of dedication, how he’s worked and how he’s moving. What he’s done out here. When he sets in pass-pro, believe me there’s nobody going around him. And they’re not going through him. We’ve got the best pass rushers in America that we go against every day. That’s how I judge it. If we’re sitting there and we’re blocking those guys, I’m not worried about any game we play. And Dawand right now has been dominant as a pass protector on that edge.”
