Jacoby is the brother of current Buckeye players Justin & Zach and the son of honorary Buckeye Mike Boren (#6 all time leading tackler for TSUN).

Took over as the starting varsity center his freshman year for the Tigers.

Normally we insist that a player have either an expressed interest in Ohio State or vice versa, but obviously in this case a thread on Jacoby is clearly warranted. Could a third son of Mike's become a Buckeye?

I know he's only a frosh, but do you guys really think he's projected at OL? If he does, he has some growing up to do.

If he started at center for the varsity team as a true freshman, he obviously "plays big enough"...

    Fair enough.

  7. Also he is only 6'1'', chances are he grows a couple inches and then has a longer frame to add some weight to...

we're talking about a 15 year old kid...I'd imagine he might grow. Just a hunch.

  9. He may indeed grow, but it is worth noting that Zach Boren is about the same size now as he was as a high school freshman (he was listed then as 6-1 255). I hae little doubt that Jacoby will gain weight, but if his brother is any indication, he could be done growing in height.

    jacoby boren

fwiw jacoby weighs 250 not 215 lbs. plus hes only 14 and is 6' 1" +

i doubt hes done growing due to his age.

he did a good job this year as the center for picktown central and next year will also be playing on defense and no doubt special teams. :oh:

Picktown was pretty small across the entire line last year.

I did check his post and all it says is that "jacoby weighs 250 not 215 lbs. plus hes only 14 and is 6' 1" +". Nothing about how he has this insight (coach, friend, neighbor, relative, etc.).
