OL Jonah Jackson (All B1G, All-American, Pro Bowl, Los Angeles Rams)

Seriously, below. Jonah is an enormous addition, likely will be a critical piece in anchoring our OL next year and gives us great flexibility. I could go on and on with the possibilities, but now you would look at Bowen on the outside at tackle now with Jackson in the interior if need be. I feel really good about the best 5 starting now, whoever that is. I think Jonah Jackson will be one of them though. Welcome aboard!

Agreed. The competition for the final two starting spots will be between an All-B1G player, a former #1 overall OT, a 5th year guy who played very well in the Rose Bowl, and a 5th year guy who was having an All Conference type of year before going down with an injury two years ago.

Add guys like Matt Jones and Harry Miller to that depth, and the OLine goes from concerning to possibly a strength of the team. Let’s juts hope that Stud gets this unit ready because the talent is there!

There's a big play at 1:05 where he caves in his side (bottom, RG #73) for a breakaway TD.

Jumps out for a screen at 1:35, though the rest of his linemates fail him, he looked good at least.

He is routinely locking his guy up 1-on-1, play after play from about the 2:45 mark on in that video. I'd only known what I read and was happy to add OL depth, but I have zero doubts this guy can play. Add in the typical off-season talk of "just wait until he's in OSU's S&C and coaching program" and yeah, this is a huge pickup. I've seen enough to have starter expectations for Jonah. He's good.

I don't think it can be overstated how important adding him was. Before adding him there were pretty big question marks at both LG & C. Now you only have 1 position where there is a question mark, and there are some good options to fill it.

I think what you said is the key here...at most, I see one question mark now and at least one of many options are there that will work. Enormous security blanket. Regardless, I see Jonah getting a starting spot in the interior and everything else working out.
