This is just a huge, huge commitment. Top 5 player nationally, #1 OL in the country, and right in-state. Adds to an elite couple of prospects already committed but Josh is the best of the bunch. Welcome aboard Josh, hit "ignore" on all calls without an Ohio zip code on it for the next few years

If he keeps growing into his body and his coordination comes along the way they are hoping, we're looking at the best OL prospect in this state since Orlando Pace. Ridiculous to compare the two I know but that's really where we stand.

I played for coach Channel at Edgewood his very first HC season. He's a great theoretical coach and motivator. He's also brilliant when it comes to health and fitness so Myers will be getting everything he needs to keep that coordination and strength together. Their strength and conditioning program in Miamisburg isnt a Marotti program by any means but they have access to some good equipment and minds in the area.

Needless to say, this recruitment is going to be ridiculous over the next couple years.

I guess it's not going to be as ridiculous as I thought. Whooottt!!! Welcome home young sir.

Now, start gathering your flock. :sneaky:

In Myers The Buckeyes Have Great Player And Much More
“To be completely honest it wasn’t really a hard decision at all,” Myers said. “It became clear to me a couple months ago. If Ohio State had not come into the picture I would be completely lost.”

Myers said Buckeye fans have nothing to worry about when it comes to his decision.

“I’m 100% committed to Ohio State,” Myers said. “I’m finished taking visits. Michigan came in the day after I committed. They are the only school that talked to me since I committed. An assistant coach came in.”

SHINE AT THE OPENING, BIG CAT WEEKEND HITS BUCKEYES AND MORE
  • Josh Myers // OL // 2017
Speaking of looking the part, only Notre Dame commit Tommy Kraemer compared to Ohio State's 2017 commit Josh Myers in that respect. Myers struggled a bit early in one-on-ones that I saw, but generally speaking these events are not really designed to work in the favor of an offensive lineman. He is only going to get better over the next two years and definitely is a likely candidate to keep his ranking as the country's top offensive tackle in the 2017 class.
